Anitra Stevens is a Los Angeles-based director with roots in Baltimore. She joined the Directors Guild of America (DGA) in 2011 as a 2nd Assistant Director after completing 600 Production Assistant days and an additional 150 days to join the Southern California Qualification List. This marked a significant milestone in her career. Over the past 13 years, Stevens has worked on numerous film and television series. Recently, she has been actively transitioning to focus on directing. In her directorial pursuits, she has successfully completed three short films: "EXPLAIN IT”, Received recognition at the Toronto Black Film Festival and was featured in NewFilmmakers LA. "GHOST BAE", Participated in the Disability Film Challenge and Hollyshorts. "ROUTINE”, Her directorial debut, which earned a place in the California Women's Film Festival. Additionally, Stevens has directed a music video for the L.A. band STEVE, blending classic rock and roll vibes with sunny skies, palm trees, and swimming pools.

Anitra is a mother and wife. Despite her family commitments, she remains passionate about storytelling and filmmaking, eager to contribute to the vibrant landscape of the film and television industry. As Anitra continues to develop her directorial career, her diverse experience in the industry provides a strong foundation for her future projects and contributions to filmmaking.
